Silver Stories

Silver Stories is a Charity where Children (Silver Readers) phone a Silver Listener weekly to read a story or a poem. This scheme is to promote confidence within the children and connect with the community.

The Ferrars Academy are glad to have started their own Silver Stories sessions. We currently have 3 Silver Readers and 3 Silver Listeners which have a story session once a week. The children have looked forward to their session each week and got so excited that they chose there book a week in advance.

Our Silver Listeners have enjoyed the sessions too giving great feedback.

The children were awarded certificates in assembly for achieving 10 reads to a Silver Listener.
